A crash closed the A64 near York this morning (Monday).
It involved a car and a van. One woman was trapped in her vehicle and fire crews cut her free.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service update said: “Female was believed to have suffered a broken arm and cuts and bruises. Female was taken to hospital via road ambulance.”
The A64 was closed in both directions between Claxton Hall and Flaxton Moor for several hours. It reopened shortly before 8am.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “This is to allow accident investigation work to take place following a road traffic collision. There is a diversion in place via Claxton.”
Traffic was diverted from the scene.
