A biker was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash which closed a stretch of road near the North Yorkshire coast in the early hours of this morning.
A stretch of the A165 in the Filey area was shut while emergency services deal with the serious two-vehicle collision that happened near Muston at around 12.15am today (Sunday).
The collision involved a black Honda motorbike and a white Ford Focus car.
The rider of the motorbike, a man aged in his early 30s from Scarborough, was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment to serious leg and arm injuries.
The Ford Focus driver, a woman aged in her late teens from Bridlington, and her two passengers were uninjured.
While the A165 was closed, drivers heading to and from Scarborough were being diverted through Filey.
The road reopened at about 4am.
