Detectives investigating a serious sexual assault in York have released two CCTV images as part of their ongoing appeal for witnesses.
The incident occurred in the Bootham and Marygate area at around 10pm on Sunday (September 24).
The victim, a local woman, is receiving specialist support while enquiries continue.
Officers are appealing for potential witnesses to come forward who possibly recall suspicious behaviour while walking past the Marygate Tower between 9.20pm and 9.50pm on Sunday.
Shop footage
In particular, they want to identify and trace the man in the CCTV images to assist with enquiries. The footage was taken in a nearby shop.
