Two people were taken to hospital after a multiple-vehicle collision on the A19 this afternoon (Thursday).
It has happened south of Escrick, between York and Selby, around 2pm.
Police called in a fire crew from York to the scene.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “No persons were trapped on arrival and fire crews provided scene safety to assist police and ambulance.
“Two casualties were transported to hospital with minor injuries and the incident was left in the hands of police.”
The road is fully open again.
