One person was taken to hospital after a crash which blocked the A64 this morning.
A blue BMW car left the road and collided with the central reservation close to York Racecourse.
The road was closed in both directions between the A1036 and A19 junctions.
Emergency services and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance went to the scene.
The road has now reopened. Roads policing officer Sgt Paul Cording tweeted: “One to hospital with hopefully only minor injuries.”
Traffic was still congested at lunchtime.
