A serious crash closed a road in York this afternoon (Tuesday).
The collision was at the top of Cornlands Road near its junction with Askham Lane, Acomb.
It is believed to have involved two cars and was reported at about 1.25pm.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was called to the scene, and landed in a field close to Askham Lane.
The road was partially blocked for several hours. Police officers were diverting traffic at the roundabout, and buses couldn’t serve Foxwood Road and Cornlands Road.
However the road has since been reopened, and traffic is back to normal.
We have no word on casualties at the moment.
