A serious crash has left five people hurt and a main North Yorkshire road closed this afternoon.
As YorkMix reported earlier, the collision happened on the A169 two miles north of the Fox And Rabbit Inn, between Pickering and Lockton.
Now more details about the incident have been released.
Emergency services were called to the incident at around 3.54pm today (Wednesday).
It was a collision between a car and a motorbike. Fire crews from Malton and Pickering went to the scene.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “On arrival crews assisted police and ambulance colleagues with first aid to five people involved.
“Crews also made the scene safe.”

North Yorkshire Police said on social media: “The A169 is closed approximately two miles north of the Fox and Rabbit Inn due to a serious road traffic collision and will remain closed for quite some time.
“Please avoid the area and find alternative routes.”
