Serious collision closes A1M in North Yorkshire

Emergency services are at the scene of a serious collision on the A1M this morning (Friday).

Two lanes of the A1M northbound are close after the crash, involving a car and a lorry.

The closure is between junction 52 Catterick and junction 53 Scotch Corner.

Fire and ambulance crews are there.

Traffic is queueing for five miles due to the incident. Lanes one and two are closed, and the travel time is estimated at 20 minutes.
