Scrap metal worth £3,000 stolen from a yard in Sherburn-In-Elmet

Police in the Selby District are asking scrap metal dealers to contact them if they are offered scrap for sale from an unknown source and without the correct paperwork.

The appeal comes after around £3,000 worth of scrap was stolen from a yard in Sherburn-in-Elmet on Sunday 12 February.

Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the Lancaster Close area around 6.30pm is also asked to contact them.
