Futuristic fireworks will blast off over Castle Howard as the skies are lit up for a sci-fi spectacular this October.
Castle Howard, York YO60 7DA
Sat Oct 29 from 4.30pm
Adults £15, children £10, family ticket £35, under-4s free
The skyline will explode with a display as thrilling as a Star Wars dogfight as Kaboom returns to the stately home with a night that promises to be ‘out of this world’.
And we have family tickets to give away.
The night will kick off with a dramatic laser light show, as giant beams battle each other in the skies like a galactic lightsaber duel.
Combining state-of-the-art fireworks synchronised to a specially commissioned music track, the pyrotechnics are followed by an exclusive cinema screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Fans of the sci-fi saga will also be able to try their hand at lightsaber combat. Britain’s first Lightsaber Academy are at Kaboom to showcase LudoSport, a growing combat sport inspired by Star Wars. Wannabe Jedi’s can wield a lightsaber under instruction from a Jedi Master.
Funfair and fire jugglers
Recognised as one of the best five firework displays in England, Kaboom at Castle Howard is a celebration of the season combining the best of Halloween and Bonfire night.
For younger children there will be a film screening of the Disney Pixar classic Monsters Inc ahead of the main firework display.
Other attractions include as well as a traditional funfair, a Sparkler Park, live entertainment hosted by the Minster FM Breakfast Show presenters Ben & Ellie, fire jugglers, carnival performers, and the chance to tuck into traditional seasonal goodies.
Mark Brayshaw, managing director of York-based organisers Rockin’ Horse Promotions, said:
Tickets must be purchased in advance via Kaboom or Castle Howard, or at the Visit York Information Centre, Museum Street, York.
