Police are warning York householders to be aware of a scam operating in the city.
The York South policing team say a gang driving a silver Toyota van and a blue van of similar size have been calling on homes in the city “and offering to jet wash driveways for extortionate amounts of money”.
In some, cases they have demanded over £500.
They have been seen in both the west and north York.
Both vehicles have Irish numberplates.

Should they attend your home address please decline their services and ring 101 to let us know.
Don’t be scammed, tell them NO and report them to the police.
