A road south of York was closed by police this afternoon.
North Yorkshire Police reported at 3.47pm today (Sunday) that the B1222 between Stillingfleet and Cawood is “closed due to an incident”.
They asked road users to “use an alternative route while emergency services are in attendance”, adding “please drive safely”.
Location of incident
The AA reported: “Road closed due to police incident on B1222 Cawood Road both ways from Cawood turn-off to Escrick Road. Traffic is coping well.”
The road is now reopened. More information when we get it.
