Driving around the centre of York has just become that bit more challenging today (Tuesday).
One lane of Pavement is now closed off.
The permanent traffic lights at the junction of Pavement, Coppergate and Parliament Street have been switched off.
They have been replaced by temporary traffic lights.
Traffic is now being held at the Fossgate junction with Pavement.
The changes have been brought in as the work to install anti-terror bollards on Shambles expands onto the road.
Work was temporarily halted there yesterday over signage and safety concerns. The footpath that was reopened has now been sealed off again.
After YorkMix reported that people were climbing the wall of St Crux churchyard as a shortcut, barriers have been placed across a significant length of that wall.
The installation work will now last five weeks rather than four, City of York Council say.
