A burst water main that flooded a York road has been fixed.
We reported that York Road in Strensall was under water after the pipe was ruptured during an operation to remove a lamppost.
Some homes were left without water.
A Yorkshire Water spokesperson told YorkMix: “By 10:30 the main was isolated and rezoning meant just ten homes were without water.
“We completed the repair quickly, after a lamppost was removed by the council, and all properties were back on in early afternoon.”

A road in York is underwater this morning (Tuesday) due to a burst water main.
York Road in Strensall is flooded due to the ruptured pipe – which may have been damaged by contractors in the area.
According to Strensall councillor Paul Doughty, this has left main homes without water.
Streets affected include York Road, West End and Princess Road, although other streets could be affected too.
Cllr Doughty said on Twitter at 10.47am: “Contractors and City of York Council were removing a streetlight near the Old Vicarage on York Road which appears to have caused damage to the water main.
“The workers on site are speaking with Yorkshire Water to see if the immediate location can be isolated so that water supply can be restored to homes as soon as possible.
“There is no estimate for repair as yet – could be several hours.”
He is asking drivers to avoid the area for the time being.
