Plans for nearly 400 apartments to be built on part of the former Heworth gasworks have been submitted to City of York Council.
Moda Living’s build-to-rent scheme forms the final phase of the development of the site after detailed plans for more than 200 apartments were approved by councillors last year.
The latest plans include 392 apartments for rent – a mix of studio, one, two, and three-bed homes – a 24/7 gym and a cinema room.
The development will include a community green at its heart and a new landscaped green space open to the public.
Moda said residents would benefit from “access to a host of wellness focused products and services to support their healthy lifestyles”, including a fitness app, a wellness programme and a programme of events.
Each apartment will also feature smart technology for monitoring things like temperature, air quality and light levels.
If approved by councillors, work could start early next year.

Further work to clear the ten acre former gasworks site for building will be carried out later this year.
North Star and Heworth Green developments were granted permission to build 215 homes and a new neighbourhood park on the site in November.
