Reckless driver tells York council leader to ‘F off’ – and promptly gets reported
A driver who drove the wrong way down a street in York city centre became abusive when he was told it was one-way.
Unfortunately for him, it was the city’s transport boss who he told to ‘F-off’.
Cllr Andy D’Agorne, who is deputy leader of City of York Council as well as its transport lead, said the man was quite aggressive when his dangerous driving was highlighted.
“This guy just drove down Lendal the wrong way at some speed,” Cllr D’Agorne shared on Facebook.
When the Green Party leader pointed out to him that it was one-way, the driver’s “response was ‘So what? What are you going to do about it? F*** off!'”
Cllr D’Agorne reported the incident to police via the online form.
He has since been called by an officer who asked him to email over a photo he took of the car so they could investigate further.
