One of the train companies that links Selby and Howden to Hull is cutting fares to encourage day trips to the East Yorkshire city.
Prices to travel on Hull Trains services between Hull and Doncaster, along with Brough, Howden and Selby, are to be reduced by over 50%.
Hull Leisure Return tickets are
- £10 from Doncaster
- £8 from Selby,
- £6 from Howden
The Small Print
Available only on the Hull Trains website, app and at station ticket offices.
Travel on any Hull Trains service with this ticket and use the return portion within 30 days. Children aged between 5-15 travel for 50% less.
Children under 5 travel for free, unless you would like a seat reservation for them.
Hull Leisure Return tickets are valid only on Hull Trains services, so don’t try and use them on Northern LNER or TransPennine services.
The ticket is designed to appeal to day trippers and holiday makers as the Easter and summer holidays fast approach.
Hull Trains is also working collaboratively on promotion with local businesses such as The Deep and the DoubleTree by Hilton in Hull to spread the word about the benefits of leaving the car at home and travelling for leisure purposes via train.
