The licence

YorkMix Radio broadcasts on the Muxco North Yorkshire DAB multiplex in DAB+.

York Sound Ltd holds an Ofcom local digital service licence and associated PRS and PPL licences to broadcast music.

Local Production

All of our programming is locally produced.  We have studios in York and in Selby with some presenters using their own studios in other parts of North Yorkshire.

Automation

We automate some of our programming using computer technology notably between 1&4pm weekdays, 7-midnight and overnight between midnight and 6:30am.

Playlist

YorkMix Radio plays a varied mix of music, the bulk of the playlist is from the 1980s to today but older songs may occasionally play.
