How To Tune In
DAB+ Radio
The easiest way to listen is with a DAB+ enabled radio. Unlike FM radios, DAB+ radios don’t have frequencies, instead you’ll see a list of stations on your radio. Search for YorkMix to tune in. You can pick up our DAB+ signal across North Yorkshire.
Smartphone App
You can stream YorkMix Radio in our free app, search for YorkMix Radio in the iPhone App Store or the Google Play Store.

Alexa
Say, “Alexa, open YorkMix Radio.”
If this doesn’t work, you’ll need to enable the YorkMix Radio skill to play YorkMix Radio. You can do this in the Alexa app or by saying “Alexa, enable the YorkMix Radio skill”. From then on you should be able to say “Alexa, play YorkMix Radio.”
Google Assistant
Say, “Hey Google, ask YorkMix Radio to play.”
If you have problems with Google Assistant try, “Hey Google, ask GetMeRadio to play YorkMix radio.”

FAQ
Will you be available on FM?
Unfortunately not. Ofcom (the government agency which regulates radio) is no longer issuing FM licences as all stations will move to digital platforms in the future. Occasionally Ofcom issues low powered community radio stations with FM frequencies but these can only be heard for a small distance.
I can’t find you on my DAB radio, what can I do?
Some older DAB radios are unable to pick up DAB+ signals but all radios sold with the Digital Tick logo since 2006 should be compatible. Unfortunately some retailers are still stocking radios which aren’t compatible with this newer standard so make sure you look for the green Digital Tick or the DAB+ logo when you buy a new radio. Other stations that you should be able to find if your radio is DAB+ compatible include Radio X and Jazz FM.
If you’re sure you have a DAB+ radio then you may need to perform a rescan to find us. This is normally available in the menu on your radio. If you can receive BBC Radio York or This Is The Coast on your DAB+ radio then you should be able to receive YorkMix Radio.
Can I find you on TuneIn?
TuneIn is currently not adding new stations, we understand that this means HomePod listeners can’t find us at the moment, we are looking at ways around this!
