York City fans are getting used to ‘do or die’ games.
York City v Forest Green Rovers, Bootham Crescent, York
Sat Apr 29 @ 12.15pm
The club has been through some dark days – but always made it through to a new dawn.
On Saturday the team face what is arguably their most crucial game yet.
Televised live on BT Sport they play Forest Green Rovers. City need to win, and hope other teams above them falter, to stay up.
Otherwise City will be banished to the National League North.
This is the sixth tier of English football, the lowest the club will have plummeted in its 95 year history, home to the likes of Gainsborough Trinity, Harrogate Town and Alfreton Town.
But are fans downhearted? Well slightly. But the fighting spirit has kicked in, as these fan responses testify…

if it's 0-0 going into injury time, a win keeps us up, and Jon Parkin unleashes a top corner howitzer, it could eclipse Brodie 2010 #ycfc
