Calling all food lovers!
The much-loved Malton Food Lovers Festival returns for its spring outing on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 May.
Visitors can expect a line up of live demonstrations from renowned chefs, over 100 food stalls, traditional fairground rides, live music and family entertainment – there’s something for everyone.
Situated right in the heart of ‘Yorkshire’s food capital’, the festival is free to enter and begins at 9am on the Saturday and 10am on Sunday.
Headlining the main stage this year is Bake Off: The Professionals judge and chef Benoit Blin, who will be cooking up a storm with two demonstrations each day. He wowed the crowds in 2021 with his reverse chocolate crumble.
Also returning is 2019 winner of the Great British Bake Off, David Atherton. A newcomer to the festival is Yorkshire-based Michelin star chef, Thomas Carr – who is renowned for serving up seafood at his Scarborough-based restaurant, Thomas Carr @ The Coast.
There will also be an array of local producers, chefs and bakers taking to the main stage, including Kathryn Bumby from the Yorkshire Pasta Company and Gilly Robinson from Malton’s cookery school, The Cook’s Place.
Malton has had a recent brush with royalty, after King Charles and Queen Camilla visited the foodie destination in April.

Tom Naylor-Leyland, director of Visit Malton, says, “We’re delighted to welcome the Malton Food Lovers Festival back for its fourteenth year, and having well-known chefs return year on year is a huge testament to Malton’s status as Yorkshire’s Food Capital.
“Last year we saw visitors flock to the town in their tens of thousands, and we expect the Spring festival to be just as popular.”
The festival will also return for its summer edition later this year, over the August bank holiday weekend.
