Fans of a bargain will have cause to celebrate tomorrow as a popular shop reopens after a long refit.
Savers on Goodramgate reopens at 9am on Thursday (November 8) – just under five months after it closed on June 17.
The health and beauty discounter moved out to allow the building’s owners to undertake major renovations.
It is one of three neighbouring properties owned by York developers S Harrison – the other two being the former Bacchus Wine Store, and the former Scope charity shop.
All three have undergone a big refit over the summer.
Moved down the street

Savers has moved one door down, while the other properties have won permission to switch from shops to restaurants.
The manager of Savers’ York shop Caroline Boocock told YorkMix:
It’s the same store with the same people, but a better shopping environment.
The only difference is we have moved next door to 57 Goodramgate.
