Popular bubble tea shop Bubbleology is set to open in York.
Bubbleology will open on 17 Coney Street, which was previously home to The Phone Store.
Bubble tea is a tea-based drink that originated in Taiwan. The drink features chewy tapioca balls known as boba or pearls, and can come in a wide variety of flavours and toppings.
The chain has locations all over the UK, including London, Leeds, Cardiff and Oxford. Now it’s come to York!
The planning application was approved by City of York Council at the end of 2022.
It will be opening early September – but there’s no exact opening date yet.
Bubbleology will make the third bubble tea shop on Coney Street, along with Chatime and T4.
Bubble tea at Bubbleology is made with 100% organic tea leaves. They serve up a variety of milk and fruit teas, as well as cocktails and specials. Go for a classic like Jasmine milk tea, a clash of flavours like Pomegranate & Lychee Fizz, or indulge with a Banoffee Pie.
Every drink at Bubbleology is customisable, such as changing the level of sweetness or to a plant-based milk – so you can make your boba exactly to your taste.
