The annual Poppleton Beer & Music Festival is set to return for its 12th year – with 66 different beers to try.
The two-day festival will feature cask ales, keg, and lagers, as well as ciders, a Pimms & Prosecco tent, wine, gins, soft drinks, pizza, fish and chips, pie and peas, and live music.
The Poppleton Beer & Music Festival will take place on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 June at Poppleton Football Club.
The event will run from 4pm to 11pm on the Friday and 12pm to 11pm on the Saturday.
As well as it being 12 years of the popular festival, it’s also been 12 years of fundraising for grassroots football – with all the profits going back into the Poppleton Junior Football Club.
“The beer festival was started in 2011 because we needed to raise some extra cash for the club when we had our community pavilion built, and it’s just gone from strength to strength ever since,” said Richard Fox, one of the event organisers.
For music, headlining on the Friday night is York covers band The Supermodels, and for the Saturday is York-based rock cover band The Perfect Shambles.
It’s a ticket-only event and is likely to sell out, so don’t wait to get your tickets!
Tickets are £12 for adults, with under 18s going free. Tickets are available here.
