Police have issued a warning to parents and young people after youths were seen on a roof in Tadcaster.
They were spotted climbing on the roof of a property in Commercial Street last night (Sunday).
Officers have also had reports of youngsters going inside derelict buildings around the town centre.
PC Nicholas Woods said: “We are now asking parents to make sure they know what their children are and urging youths not to climb on the roof or to enter derelict buildings, which are being used as a risky playground.
“These places often hide dangers which could cause serious injury or death.
“Officers are urging parents to speak with their children about where they are going at night and regarding their behaviour.”
