Two men have been arrested after a stolen car they were in failed to stop for police.
On Sunday morning (6th March) a Peugeot 208 was stolen from the Selby town centre area and at just after 8am it was spotted in York.
The vehicle didn’t stop when officers attempted to pull it over and then police pursued it out of the city toward the A1(M).
Eventually they managed to puncture its tyres with a stinger device as it travelled through Boroughbridge.
The vehicle was eventually brought to a stop as it attempted to get on the motorway.
Nobody was injured, only minor damage was caused to the stolen vehicle. The youths who were arrested are currently in police custody.
