Police underwater teams are searching the river in York this morning (Monday).
Officers from the regional marine and underwater search unit arrived on King’s Staith at about 10am.
They are searching for Louise Brown, who has been missing since last Wednesday (26 July).
Yesterday (Sunday) officers recovered Louise’s car on Skeldergate Bridge.
Police are “extremely concerned” for her welfare. Louise is 41-years-old and is described as thin build, about 5ft 7in in height and has long blonde hair.
She was last seen in the Heslington Lane area of York on Wednesday at around 3pm.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Police are today continuing to search for Louise. Specialist departments which include the Operational Support Unit and the Police Underwater Search Unit are involved in the searches.”
Officers are asking that members of the public report possible sightings of Louise via 101. If you have an immediate sighting, please dial 999.
