Police are investigating suspected drug dealing in the Micklegate area of York.
It follows an incident when a police officer and PCSO spotted a suspicious vehicle while on patrol in the area on Tuesday, 5 March.
As a result the officers, from the Micklegate and East Neighbourhood Team, requested support.
A response team attempted to stop the vehicle but it drove off. A chase followed, leading to the car being abandoned.
Officers then found and detained the passenger of the vehicle. That person was arrested for suspected drug supply offences, after being found with a lot of cash.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Following a search of their home address, large quantities of suspected Class B drugs were located, suspected to be worth thousands of pounds in street value.
“A further person has been arrested for drug supply offences. Both remain under investigation at this time.”
