Two girls who were missing from the Ryedale area have been found.
We reported on Saturday that the girls, aged 12 and 13, were believed to have travelled to York together.
They were last seen in Kirkbymoorside on the afternoon of Friday 1 September but did not return home when expected on Friday evening.
Police launched a search and appealed for sightings from the public.
In an update at 9.12am on Sunday North Yorkshire Police said: “The two girls aged 12 & 13 who were missing from the Ryedale on Saturday 2 September area have been found safe and well.
“Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal.”
