Police have sealed off part of a York street this evening (Friday).
A cordon and police guard is in place on Market Street in the city centre.
Police tape is wrapped around the benches next to the empty building that used to house a Costa Coffee shop.
A forensic officer is also at the scene.
Earlier an ambulance and paramedics were seen at the incident.
