Police have ended their investigation after a woman’s body was discovered in York.
They were called to a house on Sixth Avenue in Tang Hall on Sunday morning by the ambulance service.
A woman in her 40s was found dead inside.
Police then launched an investigation, and crime scene investigation officers were seen inside the house undertaking forensic work.
A man in his 40s was arrested in connection and taken into custody.
This morning, North Yorkshire Police issued this update: “Following a post-mortem examination, we have ruled out any third-party involvement.
“The man who was arrested in connection with this incident has been released with no further action.”
