Police have launched an investigation after a car overturned on the A1M in North Yorkshire.
It happened in the torrential rain yesterday (Sunday) at Sinderby near Thirsk.
The car ended up on its side. The driver and passenger suffered minor injuries.
Traffic Constable David Minto said on Twitter: “Driver provided a preliminary alcohol specimen that was under the limit but not by much. He however tested positive for cocaine.
“Off to the hospital it was for the both of us. The driver received some treatment and I received some of his blood.”
He said the investigation continues, with witnesses to be contacted and the driver interviewed.
