Police investigate suspicious van seen following girls in York suburb

Police are investigating reports of a suspicious van seen in York yesterday (Wednesday).

A large grey van followed two girls into Acomb, beeping at them, at about 8am.

It was seen on Corlett Court, on Beagle Ridge Drive, at the snicket coming off Tedder Road leading to Tithe Close, and then on Cornlands Road.

North Yorkshire Police are trying to trace the driver.

A spokesperson said: “We want to speak to the driver to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
