Police investigate ‘hit and run’ which left cyclist in hospital

Police are investigating an alleged hit and run in York.

It took place at the junction of Beckfield Lane and Norman Drive at about 6.50pm on Thursday (16 May).

York response police officer PC41 said on Twitter: “The car involved described only as silver made off leaving the cyclist at scene.”

The cyclist was taken to hospital with a suspected sprain.

Police are now trying to trace the driver. If you can help call 101 and quote reference number 12190088224.
