Police are investigating a sexual assault in York at Halloween – and are looking for a man who was wearing a distinctive fancy dress costume on the night.
Officers say that the incident took place on the night of Wednesday October 31, into the early hours of Thursday November 1.
They want to speak to a man who was in Fibber’s nightclub on Toft Green during a Halloween-themed event, as he may have important information that could assist the investigation.
The man was wearing a fancy dress costume at the time.
This consisted of black slim-fit jeans, a white shirt, a white fur coat with gold in it, a light-coloured hat and a large gold-coloured dollar sign necklace.
He spoke with a southern accent. He is described as
- black
- of slim build
- 5ft 10ins-5ft 11ins tall
- about 20 years old
- with shaved short black hair.
