Police are hunting this wanted man and are appealing to the public for their help.
Mark Anthony Ainsley, 34, is wanted in connection with aggravated burglary, affray and possession of a firearm.
He is said to be dangerous, and people are urged not to approach him, but contact police – see below.
Ainsley sparked a major police hunt once before.
In May 2017, he went on the run after escaping police custody while on a visit to York Hospital.
He was arrested four days later after a major search operation involving the police helicopter and sniffer dogs.
Later that year he was jailed for ten years eight months for threatening to shoot a taxi driver in an attempted robbery in York city centre.
Today, a North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Anyone who sees him is urged not to approach him, but instead to call 999 immediately quoting 12230224636.”
