Police hunt man after upskirting offence on York pedestrian crossing
Police are hunting a man who allegedly used his phone to take photos underneath a young woman’s skirt in York city centre.
The offence, known as upskirting, was reported on the pedestrian crossing on the junction of Foss Islands Road and Layerthorpe, heading towards the city centre, between midday and 1pm on Saturday (25 September).
The perpetrator is aged in his late 20s to early 30s.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The area was busy as the time of the incident and we are urging possible witnesses to come forward.”
