Police have detained two people who climbed on top of buildings in York city centre.
Emergency services were called shortly after 8pm after the pair were seen on a roof on Davygate.
York firefighters were also called to the scene.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from York responded to a report of two people seen on the roof of a building.
“On the arrival of fire crews, all persons were on ground level and in police custody.
“No action was required by the fire service.”
