A man has been arrested after an incident which saw a road in Haxby sealed off by police.
Officers closed part of Calf Close in Haxby on Tuesday (December 4) after being called to a disturbance there at about 5.45pm.
A cordon was put in place and residents asked to stay away from the area – although police said there was no wider threat to the public.
The road has since reopened.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “A man in his 60s was arrested on suspicion of affray and remains in police custody while enquiries continue.”
