Police call out firefighters after resident sets clothes on fire in York

Emergency services attended an incident in the early hours of this morning involving some clothing being set alight.

Firefighters were called out by police at 1.24am on Thursday (3 October) after clothes were burnt at a residential property off Fulford Road.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said:

  • The fire was out on our arrival and caused damage to items of clothing only. The cause is believed to be deliberate.
