Emergency services were called to a York hotel in the early hours of this morning (Saturday).
York police called firefighters to the hotel on Piccadilly at 2.12am.
Firefighters had already been to the street at 12.58am after a smoke alarm in a large shop went off. That was a false alarm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “York return to Piccadilly, to a different premises, at police request following raised voices coming from within a hotel room giving them cause for concern.
“Fire crew liaised with police. Fire service actions not required.”
