I mean do u have to go and collect the money there?!
No, you don’t have to be there on the evening to win.
Is there an age restriction to the competition?
Hi Ricky. No, there’s no age restriction. But there are no age-related categories either. Hope that helps.
Thanks
May the poems be attachments or would you prefer them in the body of the e-mail?
Would you like each entry seperately or may 2 or 3 be in one e-mail?
June Drake?
Hi June, good question. We can accept poems in the main body of the email or attached as Word files. They can be sent altogether or separately, whichever you prefer.
To ensure fair judging, each poem is then copied on to a separate document and sent to the judge with a reference number rather than the poet’s name. So either format is fine.
Hope this helps.
FYI,
This is the second York Literature Festival Poetry competition: the first was won by Annalise Emmans Dean
