The search for missing Chelsea Allen has entered its sixth day – and now police are appealing to day-trippers for their help.
Chelsea, 31, went missing from her Helmsley home early on Sunday and hasn’t been seen since.
Today, North Yorkshire Police urged anyone visiting the North Yorkshire town to look out for her on their travels.
It’s believed that Chelsea left home on foot, and she was wearing a navy blue long-sleeved t-shirt with white pattern sleeves, grey jogging bottoms and trainers.
Chelsea has shoulder-length straight dark brown hair and is 5ft 5 tall, slim build and has several tattoos.
Large open areas around Helmsley have been covered by the police’s Operational Support Unit, who have also been assisted by a mountain rescue team.
A police drone, police helicopter (NPAS) and off-road police motorcycle have also been called in to help find Chelsea.

Chelsea has links to Hemsworth and Pontefract in West Yorkshire so police say it’s possible that she could have headed for this area. West Yorkshire Police is supporting the missing person inquiry.
North Yorkshire Police Inspector Ian Roberts from the Operational Support Unit said: “It’s very concerning that Chelsea has been missing for six days. We’re supporting her family while our enquires continue to try and locate her.
“If required, the searches will continue across the weekend. I urge any members of the public in the Helmsley area to remain vigilant and report any sightings to police immediately.”
Anyone who has any information which could help officers with their enquiries should contact police on 101. If you have an immediate sighting of Chelsea, please call 999.
