Firefighters gave a girl and her friends some words of advice after a park mishap yesterday (Sunday).
Police called in fire crews to the park off Monk Lane, Selby at 6.39pm after a 12-year-old girl was reportedly stuck in a baby swing.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Fire control mobilised a fire engine to assist the girl and rang her back.

“Whilst on the phone her friend managed to help her get out of the swing and the fire crew could be returned to station.
“Fire control gave the girl advice that this is a common occurrence for the fire service and to advice her friends and learn from this experience.
“She was grateful for the help.”
