Plan to turn field near sewage works into 30-berth marina
Permission is being sought to turn a field next to a sewage works into a 30-berth marina.
The development at Naburn would see a field transformed into an inlet for boats. It is north of the existing York Marina, but is not connected to that business.
A new road would be created linking the development to the B1222.

The new marina is next to the Naburn Waste Water Treatment Works, run by Yorkshire Water.
The proposal is for a 30-berth marina, with three more berths on the riverside, “including marina ancillary facilities (eg car park, slipway, jetties, fuelling station etc)”.
Plans also show a management office with a café.
