The Colonel’s secret blend of 11 herbs and spices won’t be filling the air in Huntington any time soon.
Plans to build a KFC restaurant and drive-thru there have been withdrawn.
YorkMix revealed back in December that an application was in to build the restaurant in the car park at Asda in Monks Cross, York.

With room for 54 diners, a delivery collection point for the likes of Just Eat, and operating for 24 hours it seemed like the dream deal for chicken lovers.
And the business said it would create 20 full time and 20 part time jobs.
However, the applicants have now requested that the planning application be withdrawn.
No reason has been given for the change of heart, and there are no objections listed on the planning website.
Since we first reported the story, a report has noted that the development would mean two trees would need to be cut down.
But it states that the changes would be moderate, and the KFC plan would retain a “strong focal group of trees”.
All the details are here.
