The Jorvik Viking Festival, which has been running since Monday (17 February), features living history encampments, workshops, tours, and dramatic performances.
The Viking March is a festival tradition like no other, usually attracting the most spectators.
The Vikings’ route led them from Deans Park to the Coppergate shopping centre.
They then headed to the Eye of York, located between Clifford’s Tower and York Castle Museum, for the Skirmish.
