North Yorkshire Fire Service put on an impressive display by York’s River Ouse this morning (Wednesday).
The aerial platform was extended to its full height during the exercise on Queen’s Staith.
Parked alongside the river, the ladder dwarfed the neighbouring crane on Woodsmill Quay.
The firefighters switched between different spray patterns from platform, more than 25m in the air, as onlookers stopped and watched from Ouse Bridge.
