It hasn’t moved far – but Lambretta is now adding its own brand of style to Coney Street in York.
The men’s fashion store vacated its home at the corner of High Ousegate and Spurriergate last month.
It had opened there in March 2016, taking over the premises which was previously Phones4U.
It has now reopened at 12A Coney Street, last occupied by digital sweet shop Sugarize.
When their lease came to an end they decided to move to be right in the heart of one of York’s busiest shopping streets.
Lambretta Clothing was founded in 1997, taking inspiration from the Mod scene in Britain during the 1960s and, naturally, the world famous Lambretta scooter.
It stocks clothing, footwear, bags and accessories.
“Whilst our key influences hail from that era, we are always moving with the times and keeping up with what’s happening on the street, covering a wide spectrum of styles and supporting British subcultures,” the website says.
