Four people were in this car which crashed in York on Saturday (February 14) – and all of them survived.
Traffic officer Sgt Paul Cording described it as “incredible” that only one woman was seriously injured in the accident, “with a few broken bones but talking” while the other three were walking wounded.
The crash happened on the A64 near the Hopgrove roundabout at about 2.45pm. A car left the road and crashed into a ditch.

Fire crews from York, Huntington and Tadcaster went to the scene. They worked alongside paramedics, releasing the woman using specialist cutting equipment. She was taken to hospital.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was called to the scene and the southern carriageway was closed for three hours after the crash. It has now reopened.
No other vehicle is thought to have been involved in the accident.
